BIOGRAPHY
Mariah Atwood is a multi-faceted trumpet player currently pursuing her master’s degree in trumpet performance from the University of Southern Mississippi with Dr. T.J. Tesh. Here, Mariah has developed a strong foundation in classical trumpet and an interest for orchestral and solo playing. She has collaborated with an impressive array of artists, including Rebecca Wilt, Craig Morris, Stephen Burns, and Mireia Farrés. Mariah has performed at prestigious seminars, competitions, and masterclasses such as Chosen Vale International Trumpet Seminar and the National Trumpet Competition in the solo and ensemble divisions.
In addition to her musical endeavors, Mariah also works for the International Trumpet Guild as assistant treasurer and as the member services representative for the organization. Through this position, she serves the trumpet community in providing a national and international platform for communication between members and the Guild’s Board of Directors.
Beside playing trumpet, Mariah enjoys international travel, baking, and is an active coffee enthusiast.
